The Debt!!©️

-Alveera Hafeez

The trees were surging, winds were blowing,
I was walking but the sands were flowing.
The winds were dry, smelling heroism,
The sands witnessed the true patriotism.

I saw a boy who was sitting beside his comrade,
He waved his hand and ordered me to leave this shade.
I went to him and sat beside him,
He said,"Do you have some water in that rim?"

I opened my bottle and give it to him,
He was wearing our Nation on him.
His face had become black and dusty,
His shirt had become wet and rusty.

He drank the water and said to me,
"We all were together in the turbulent sea!"
We were fighting them with bravery,
But then they did a trechery!

One of them came near us with a smile,
He looked cunning but was fragile.
He tapped a button with his thumb,
And everything was blown off like stumps.

In saving our Nation we lost all,
But that's our duty's call.
He then smiled to me and said,
"Tell my Mom, I was my men's head!"
His last wish was to see his Mom,
So he kissed the sands and died in storm!!
