His mother was proud of him and who will not feel proud after being selected for army. He got his appointment letter with a ticket. He packed his bag and got ready. His mother saw him with wet eyes but smiling face. The mother realised how tall and handsome his son has become, and his uniform was making him more tall. He was just 20 with a fair skin, large eyes, shining pupils and handsome face. He was 7 feet 4 inches tall, an absolutely perfect army man. His mother kissed him on his forehead, he hugged his mother, tears of separation fell from both the eyes and he left for his journey.
She was surely at home but her heart was in the battlefield fighting with the enemies. She was proud of his son but always her heart was scared to loose her beats. She always prayed to God for his long life and one day a letter came of his son, yes, it was his handwriting telling her that he loves her and everything is fine here. The weather was freezing but now he has been used to it. He missed her mother a lot. The mother hugged the letter and cried. Atleast a half year has been passed, his mother was waiting for his letter to arrive and it arrived but his handwriting told her war. She was worried, it seemed to her that her heart was beating really fast. She knew his son will surely win but still her heart was thumping fast. Her son was her only family, she had no one else and neither his son had anyone else than his mother. Both were connected to each other with a fine thread.
At night, suddenly she started feeling anxious and her heart was thunping superbly fast, accelerating every second and suddenly her eyes got larger and she fell. When the maid came in the morning she saw her lying on the floor with blood, she immediately called the doctor and he declared her dead. The next morning her son came wrapped within the flag.
They both died in the same way, same day, same time and same injury. His mother had an heart attack and he was shot at heart and both of them got same injuries while falling! They both were each other's support and died together. The fine thread took both of them together. The thread was a connection between them and both connections were lost together!!
